1. What earlier versions provided
The PitchRound Terms of Service in their versions up to and including September 19, 2026 provided for a success fee of 2% of the capital a startup raised from investors it had met on the platform. Further obligations were attached to that fee, in particular a duty to report closed rounds, a period of 24 months in which the fee was to arise even for rounds closed off the platform, an acknowledgement of the fee rules by investors before first contact, countersigned records about funding rounds, and a ban on negotiating or closing off the platform with people met through it.
2. Waiver
Operator detail missing, as operator of PitchRound, irrevocably and unconditionally waives every claim to this success fee, for every funding round, whenever, wherever and with whomever it came about, including rounds closed before September 20, 2026.
With effect from September 20, 2026, every obligation of users attached to the fee also ends, in particular the reporting duty, the 24-month period and the ban on negotiating or closing off the platform. This applies also where those obligations are contained in an acknowledgement, a countersigned record or any other document on the platform.
According to our records, no such fee was ever invoiced or collected.
Insofar as a waiver requires a contract under German law (section 397 BGB), this declaration is an offer to every user concerned to conclude a release agreement, and we waive the need for its express acceptance (section 151 BGB).
3. Today
PitchRound is paid only through subscriptions and charges no fee on any funding round. The current conditions are in the Terms of Service.
