Never pay up front
PitchRound is a contact network where people with ideas meet investors, co-founders and mentors. These rules keep you safe when you talk to someone you do not know yet.
Never pay to get an investment
A real investor does not ask a founder for a fee, a deposit, a "due diligence" charge or a lawyer's bill before investing. Anyone who asks for money up front is very likely running a scam.
PitchRound never handles money
We never ask you for money for an introduction, and no money moves through PitchRound. A message that says otherwise is not from us.
Check who you are talking to
Look the person up, meet by video before you share anything sensitive, and check a company in the official company register. A "New member" chip means the account joined in the last 14 days.
Keep the first steps here
Keep the conversation on PitchRound until you trust the other person, and be careful with links and files from someone you have just met.
Report and block
Report a profile or a message that looks wrong, and block anyone you do not want to hear from. Blocking stops messages both ways, and the other person is not told.
If you are in danger
If someone threatens you or you think a crime is happening, contact the police first, then tell us.
PitchRound does not offer, broker or recommend investments and does not check what members write. Any investment is agreed directly between the people involved, outside PitchRound.
