How PitchRound charges
Subscriptions only: what founders and investors pay for, and what happened to the charge on rounds that earlier Terms described.
PitchRound is paid through subscriptions and nothing else. Listing a startup is free. We take no commission and no share of any round, whether it closes after a conversation here, over email or at a notary's office.
What changed
Versions of our Terms up to 19 September 2026 provided for a charge on capital a startup raised from investors it met here. On 20 September 2026 we waived it in full, together with every obligation attached to it, for rounds that closed before that date as well as after. According to our records it was never invoiced.
A charge on the close put us on one side of every negotiation and gave both sides a reason to finish somewhere else. A subscription pays for the tools, whether or not a particular round closes, so we have no reason to push any round either way.
Read the published waiverWhat founders pay
A listing costs nothing. Paid plans add tools for running the raise; the pricing page lists what each one includes and costs. Nothing is ever charged on the money you raise, and nothing is owed when a round closes.
What investors pay
Reading listings and writing to founders takes a paid investor plan. Once paid plans are open, an investor plan can start with a free trial: it asks for a card, and each account gets one. You pay nothing on any investment you make.
Free for the first 50
The first 50 founders and the first 50 investors get the top plan on their side free, for as long as their account exists. A founder takes a place when their first listing goes live; an investor takes one on finishing onboarding, as a resident of the EU, the EEA or Switzerland. Demo accounts never take a place. From member 51 on each side, the prices on the pricing page apply. Members who finished their profile before 20 September 2026 keep the free access they were promised when they joined.
